The Ion Audio IPA03 features a 15W amplifier with four inputs for connecting microphones, instruments, CD/MP3 players, and a universal dock for iPod. The unit runs off mains power or an integral rechargeable battery with a playing life of between 6 and 12 hours, depending on the pounding that you give it in terms of volume. The makers have helpfully included a battery level indicator so that you don’t suddenly find yourself in the position of having no power. Recharging takes place in less than four hours. A microphone with XLR connection included in the package.

The Ion IPA03 Block Rocker comes in a silver/white finish and includes wheels and an extendable handle for easy portability. A black version of the product is also available. The basic construction is heavy duty aluminium so it can cope with the day to day pounding of being moved about from venue to venue.
